In 2000, the school was introduced to
broadening perception tools, specifically Six Thinking Hats
and PMI.
In 2001, we continued with Six Thinking Hats when P.M.I. and
O.P.V was introduced. Creativity PO tools, C&S and CAF were
trialled.
In 2002 C&S, CAF and creativity and lateral thinking tools
were introduced.
Decision Making and Choices tools were also trialled.
A school-wide programme has been formulated co-operatively
and is now fully implemented.
Information Literacy is also taught to pupils. This involves
using 'Action Learning' techniques to facilitate
metacognative processing of information from a wide range of
resources including print, visual, Internet and human
sources.
Other Learning and Teaching strategies include Bloom’s
Taxonomy, Multiple Intelligences and using Graphic
Organisers. |
