One of the annual rites of fall in Georgia has commenced. Each fall, fair season is in full tilt in the Peach State. While many local communities have smaller fairs and festivals, here’s a few of the larger ones which attracts thousands each year.
Georgia National Fair
The 2010 Georgia National Fair, the state’s largest, is set for Oct. 7-17 in Perry. The carnival midway, with spectacular rides and attractions, is provided by Reithoffer Shows. Reithoffer is one of the world’s largest carnivals and has some one-of-a-kind rides.
Along with exhibit halls featuring commercial and non-profit vendors, there will be several petting zoos and animal exhibits. The famous Robinson’s Racing Pigs will jog to the finish line again this year.
